Turning 26 could be really this sweet... and happy!

(very late post. hehe!)

All I can say is that God is really faithful. I can still remember the time I was crying on the eve of my 25th birthday. But now, i'm just overwhelming with so much glee. I'm surrounded with people who truly love me so much. I'm very thankful to God that I have them with me. I'm looking forward for a greater journey, for a better me. So let me share you how I spend my day. :)

Dinner at Napoli. Grabeng kabusugan to. Hindi matawaran. hahaha! I celebrated my 26th birthday with my friend Ai. Ang saya saya. I got a pink calculator. It's really sweet of them to give time for the both of us. I know we will all be friends till we grow old. Iba ang samahan na ito. Isang kampay para sa samahan at syempre Iced tea pa rin sa akin. hahaha! :)

Teambuilding at Linden Suites. Sushalan ng place. Sayang talaga hindi ko nauwi yung unan. hahaha! The youth surprised me with a chocolate cake. For the first time nasarapan ako. Nagpunta pa kaming Banchetto. weeeh! i love food! hahaha! I love you guys. I wish we could bond altogether soon. :)

Actually this is the first itinerary for the day. Gising na ako ng 6 am para sulit na sulit! Dan surprised me with cake and flowers. Awww. Ang tamis! But the surprising thing was he came with our family celebration lunch at Cajun. I'm just happy. I'm always thankful that I have the coolest dad, the most loving mom, smartest kuya and the most charming little sis. I love you all. And to you Dangdang, thanks for making my day extra special. :)

If getting older could be this happy, I really won't mind; Here's to being 26!

Happy Mother's day to my mom..

I'm more than blessed to have you as our mom. Indeed you're one of the most precious gifts God has given. If ever I'll become a mother and a wife someday, I pray I could be as loving, kind and patient as you. I love you very much.

Repost from Sweetsenyora

Feeling masipag mag-blog lately. hahaha! but this post is not from me. It's just a repost from my sister's multiply site. Wala lang, I just feel that it's a perfect time to be reminded of these things. I remember reading this post always back when I still own a multiply account. Masipag din ako mag blog noon. hahaha! anyway, It's just still as empowering as before. Lalo na ngayon. One of the greatest blessing for me is to have a sister like Do. She inspires me to be carefree. We had a rough year last year. It kind of tested our relationship but I'm glad that we are all better now. Thank God. Anyway, here's a very powerful blog about feeling good about yourself and what matter's most on being a woman. :)

The reason why I’m making this blog is because I want to help someone out. She may not be the prettiest but I can say that she has one of the warmest hearts I have known all my life. Lately, she kept on asking me to record or put into a hard copy what I told her last night. But of course, I can’t do that because I might just change or mixed up everything that I said. And I’m afraid that it might just probably cause her a lot of thinking that will make her CRAZY… Haha.

This blog might be for her, but I hope that everyone of us will learn something. Recently, a friend of mine sent me a wonderful text message. Here’s how it goes:

“You can walk into a room wearing t-shirt and jeans, no make-up and be the most attractive woman in the room.. At the end of the day, what makes a man ask for your number or want to ask you out is not because you look like America’s next top model, but because you are a thinking woman with opinion. Fashion sense helps, but brains will always be more deadly than a pair of stilettos.”

Alright, I just want to make it clear that I don’t mean to offend anyone. I’m just here for a reminder. Honestly, the quote for me is kind of incomplete. It didn’t include one thing. And I think, that is the heart. Sometimes, we became too busy thinking what to wear, what our hair should look like, or what kind of image are we going to portray. We came to some point when we tend to forgot the things that should be more important to us. I guess no teenager right now isn’t facing this kind of stage. But the scary part of this is when we became so unaware with the things that should matter more.

I admire the last part of the movie Mean Girls wherein Lindsay Lohan doesn’t belong to any clique or serve some queen bee anymore. She lives her life the way she wanted to be even though she has done some things she can never take back. She turned out to be a better person and she was happy with it. I also admire Jennifer Garner’s role in the movie 13 Going on 30. She pointed out that the spirit of young women should be more emphasized into the magazine. I believe that this is what most of us women lack these days. We forget to see who we really are because we are too busy looking for some things that we don’t have. Each one of us is beautiful in our own way. We don’t have to voice it out so loud. Instead, let’s be thankful for it. Let try to look back every once in a while and re-evaluate.

I remembered one sermon in Victory Fellowship. The youth pastor said there that we shouldn’t put our confidence in our selves or even on other things. We should only put our confidence in God. And I believe that by putting this in Him, it doesn’t require clothes, make-up, shoes, bags or any material things. Rather, it starts by having a healthy heart, a clean mind, God’s loving presence and joy of being who you are.

Let us feel beautiful everyday! God didn’t want us to frown all day with that zit.
Laugh it out. Smile. That’s what a real, young, tough lady do.
