Hey, It's Manowlow's Big Day!

Happy 21st Birthday to my one and only sisterette. Debut niya pala ngayon. hahaha! I'm the most blessed person for having a sweet, smart and loving sister. Even though we're different in some ways, even though we had our fair share of fights here and there.. one thing's for sure, I'll always have her back and she'll always have mine. I love you my dear sister. I'm very happy to see what kind of person you've become. Continue to be an inspiration to me, a loving daughter and sister, and most of all, continue to be the lady God wants you to be. Cheers on your 21st. :)

Life's simple pleasures...

I got this from Bianca's blog. I was her follower ever since and when I saw her post of this, I thought of what are the simple things that make me happy. Of course given na ang pamilya at mga kaibigan. They're the greatest blessing anyone could have. Since, I want to make every simple things count, I decided to make a list of them that you don't need to spend so much money on yet they make you smile. Warning: some of these are just really really shallow. hahaha! as in shallow!!! hahaha! Ganoon talaga pag mababaw ang kaligayahan. Pagbigyan niyo na! :D

1. Coffee. A day of work can never be completed without a cup of coffee. It doesn't matter if timpla lang. Actually I prefer it that way compared to Starbucks or any expensive coffee shop. Mas dig ko pa ang 3 in 1. hehehe.

2. Plants VS. Zombies. I would simply like to thank Sir Macky Mackarayan for introducing this game to me. It was definitely a stress-buster. hehe! I can still remember last April, It was super chaotic, stressful, and haggard month for me and this game really relieves me from stress and brings me back to sanity. I was hooked, not stopping until Zombies eat my brains. hahaha! :D

3. Blush Ons. For those who don't know, I'm not really a high-maintenance kind of girl. I only put one kind of make-up and voila, gora na. haha! I like having pink cheeks. It's my weakness. Weird and shallow as it may sound but seeing my face glow, makes me feel good.

4. Videoke. Pwede ba naman mawala to?? hahaha! Pinoys love to sing. Even if its out-of-tune. So I'm sure that I'm well understood that by just singing your heart out, belting out the highest note as if no one's watching, gives us so much happiness. Agawan pa ng microphone yan teh. And since Magic Sing is quite expensive, good thing we have our resident karaoke-han, or makivideoke na lang sa Timezone or sa kapitbahay. :D
5. Looking at your best. Well, I would call it "dressing up" but I realized, It's not really the "dressing up" that makes me feel good. It's about looking my best. My neatest, least-haggard, more fragrant, effortless look. No room for bad hair days! hahaha! It doesn't matter if I'm wearing a simple shirt, shorts and a pair of slippers, as long as I think I'm at my best.

6. Blogging. I'm happy whenever I write. I'm thankful because I think one or two people bothers to read my posts. hehehe. It's one thing that I know I love doing. Obvious naman na kahit kadarating ko pa lang from work, basta may something na dapat isulat, I would definitely make time to write it. Nakaka-relax lang and it's a great opportunity to share something public. Masaya mag-share ng ideas specially if you know that people will benefit from them. O diba? politicians lang ang drama. Hahaha! Masaya din magbasa ng blogs ng iba. Specially if they are writing something that is really meaningful and influencing. Maybe this is a perfect time to truly thank the person who influenced me to write. Back on my xanga days pa. Thank you Ms. Paula Peralejo. :)

7. Ice cream. I came to a realization that I was never a chocolate-lover. Seriously, I couldn't even finish a bar of Snickers on my own. Pero pag ice-cream ang ilalabas mo sa harapan ko, I'm down for a fight!!! hahaha! :D I just realized Ice cream is the only dessert that I'm craving whenever I'm sad or hurt. I'm crazy with any flavor that has vanilla, nuts and cashews on it. In short, double dutch. hahaha! :)

8. DVD Marathon. People who truly know me can attest that I rather spend my nights at home watching feel-good movies and series instead of late night partying. This is my version of rest day. My version of relaxation. Syempre DVD Marathon won't be complete kung walang kaharap na pagkain. hehehe.

9. Doing groceries. Another weird thing that makes me happy. This is an errand that I don't really complain on doing. Most specially, if I'm doing it with my mom. Imagine, you can just put anything you want on the cart without being guilty kasi hindi naman ikaw ang magbabayad. hahaha! It's so very un-selfless! hahaha! Aminin, that's where the pleasure came from! Right? :D

Feel free to make your own list guys. What are your life's simple pleasures? :)

This is what i love about watching movies...

You always learn something really important. It just comes to you, you don't even have to find it.

"The truth is you can never tell yourself there is only one thing you could be. If you are a priest or if you marry a woman it's the same challenge. You cannot make a real commitment unless you accept that it's a choice that you keep making again and again and again." - Keeping the Faith.

It's another beautiful day..

I can't help but post a blog about how my day went. I woke up feeling a bit dizzy and suffering from headache that I had the night before. So imagine how gloomy I was. I was actually whining this morning about the pain. Pero kelangan ko talaga pumasok. Jobs are piling up like crazy. So i had no choice but to get my ass off to work. hahaha.

I really thought that I would be complaining the whole day about my headache. But still, God is really faithful. Really generous that He gave me a lot of reasons to enjoy the rest of the day. Hindi ko na namalayan na hindi na pala masakit ulo ko. hehe!

Reason # 1. My boss.

I don't usually blog about my career life. hehehe. But this time it's kind of different. Actually I was avoiding to see my boss today kasi up to now, hindi ko pa rin natatapos yung mga pending jobs na pinapagawa niya sa aken. hehehe! But seriously, because of the headache I was feeling, hindi ako nakatrabaho ng buong holiday. I was surprised that our meeting really went well. Aside from discussing jobs to be done, tasks to be performed, my boss never fails to encourage us. To strive to be better. Be better than him actually. I'm thankful that God gave him as my employer. He's not just a boss. He's a mentor. He's a very generous man. And that generosity is really contagious. Not just on the material aspect, but on what he knows, how selfless he shares us the knowledge that he has when it comes to his expertise. Every conversations with him are precious moments, I hope my co-workers feel the same. Hindi na kita pagtataguan sir. hehehe! :)

Reason # 2. Sweet phone calls and text messages.

Everyone can attest that for the past 26 years, aside from my family and other close friends, I haven't got a certain-special-someone worrying about my health, constantly calling every morning just to greet me "good morning!" Kakilig lang. A person is reminding you not to overwork, just take it slow for this day because I'm not feeling well. Wala lang.. saya lang. *blush!

Reason # 3. I didn't procrastinate.

I was suffering from this "disease" for such a long time. Procrastinating can be a really dangerous habit. Kapag nakasanayan mo na, delikado. So I was happy that for this day I was able to accomplish things that I have put on delay for about weeks now. Petty for some reason, pero I'm just happy overcoming a bad habit. :)

(Last but certainly not the least...)

Reason # 4. Donna's major lambing moment. hehehe!

My sister is the sweetest creature on earth, but rarely makes lambing. The scenario is that she was surfing the net (as usual) and I was just beside her eating like a pig. hehehe! She suddenly said "Ate namiss kita ah.." All I could say was "awwww.." and then she made her signature pout and kissed me on the cheeks. She don't usually say those words to me, so I know when she said it that time, it was sincere and heartfelt. Nakakawala ng pagod and at the same time, nakakatunaw ng puso. Coming home everyday with these guys that truly love you is a greatest blessing indeed. Couldn't ask for more. :)

That's it guys for now. I am just overwhelming with so much glee in my heart. And I'm forever thankful to God. I owe it all to Him. God bless us all! :)
